The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), launched in 2013 by the U.S. government, supports youth (ages 18–35) across Southeast Asia in building leadership skills and fostering regional collaboration. It offers fellowships, workshops, and seed funding, focusing on four key areas: civic engagement, innovation and entrepreneurship, natural resources, and governance. With over 65% of ASEAN’s population under 35, YSEALI empowers young leaders from 11 countries to drive positive change and strengthen U.S.-ASEAN ties.
